A social Drama follows an Egyptian mother and her 7 years old son trials to catch a doctor’s appointment when a long iron fence obstructs them. Sayeda and Salah try to catch the last 30 mins of the German eye specialist’s charity visit to Egypt.
While she seeks medical care for her 7-year-old son, Sayeda and her son Salah try to reach out to a German eye specialist who is about to leave the city soon. They desperately struggle to find their way to the public ophthalmology hospital in Giza through the chaotic maze of Cairo when they get obstructed by a long iron fence across the hospital. This, inspired by true events social drama, takes place amidst the bustling noise of Giza square on a narrow platform facing the hospital. The director takes the viewer through a real journey of a mother’s struggle to obstruct the social barriers to survive with her son.The film was shot in real locations between the crowds of Giza square and the public hospital in Giza. The origins of the story were inspired by true events the director have been observing since her childhood. For years, she has been passing by this fence, that is located in a vital street in Giza square, watching people struggling to cross it.
