Not wanting to be jeered for not having a family photo, the little boy wrecked his brain and even made up rumors to ask the photographer to take a picture of his family at a lower price. However, it is not until something happened that he found out that a family with love is more important than anything else. Through the boy’s story, the problems of poverty and environment can also be seen in the film.
PIPO is laughed at in school when he shows a sketch of his family instead of a photograph. He then starts dreaming of having a photograph of his family. In order to pay for the services of an old park photographer to have his family’s picture taken, he collects plastic from the garbage for recycling. He eventually convinces the old and grumpy photographer to make his dream possible. When Pipo finally sees the picture, he realizes that there is something more essential than photographs; that is, the presence of his loving family. The film is a homage to the use of manual film cameras and to all the photographers who we often forget to thank for documenting our precious moments.
