Efthimios Hatzis's Biography

Efthimios Hatzis grew up in the Bronx, New York. He studied Visual Communication and Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania and then pursued studies in Filmmaking at New York University, where he obtained a Master of Fine Arts. He went to his country of descent, Greece for the shooting of one of his films, and has been living there ever since. He has written and directed a number of films that have participated and won awards in international festivals. He has created over 60 fictional shorts in the National program "Let's Cinema" with adolescents. He also teaches Film Directing at Film Schools in Athens..
