The 1st RIETI & SABINA FILM FESTIVAL will be held at the “Teatro Vespasiano”, in the Old Town in Rieti (RI), with the support and Sponsorship of the:

• Regione Lazio

FOTONICA Non-Profit Org is honored to hold the “1st RIETI & SABINA Film Festival” in the amazing town of Rieti, celebrated and valorized since the Roman Empire.
Rieti and Sabina are Internationally knew both for its Thermal Centers and its Religious Centers but also for Terminillo's Mountain.

FOTONICA believes that Rieti is the ideal venue to hold its “1st International Film Festival“ which aims to give a chance to disclose to the audience talented Authors, Actors, and Directors, with the purpose of creating synergies between film professionals and new talents.
In the "three days" Festival will be screened the Finalists Movies and also Featured Movies in the “out of competition” Segment, coming from foreigner Nations.

The Jury of the "1st RIETI & SABINA Film Festival" will guest Great Names from the world of Art and Cinema.
The Member of the Jury, the Directors, and the Entertainers will be guest in the evening soirée.
With its activities, the FOTONICA non-profit org aims to promote the knowledge of the Movies in all its aspects, as a moment of socialization and development of the sense of belonging to the Community, giving maximum spread through the “ 1st RIETI & SABINA Film Festival” and through the Social Network.

Official Rules

1. ELIGIBILITY FEATURE FILM / SHORT FILM / DOCUMENTARY
Each competitor will compete with not more than 2 (two) Movies.
The Movie submitted at the competition must have the following requirements:
a) FEATURE FILM duration - no more than 130'00" (one hundred and thirty minutes and zero seconds), including the Credits; SHORT FILM duration - no more than 30'00" (thirty minutes and zero seconds), including the Credits; DOCUMENTARY duration - no more than 30'00" (thirty minutes and zero seconds), including the Credits
b) production release - on a date not earlier than January 1, 2015 (for production date is mean the ending of the movie making and post-production);
c) if the movie has a foreigner language(not Italian), must have subtitles in Italian or in English.

In case of disqualification for failure to meet the requirements a), b) and c), the entry fee will not be refunded.

2. REGISTRATION FEE
All the Participants must provide an entry fee of:
€ 25.00 (twenty-five /euros) for each FEATURE FILM submitted, as a partial contribution to the costs of the organization.
€ 15.00 (fifteen /euros) for each SHORT FILM submitted, as a partial contribution to the costs of the organization.

3. DEADLINE AND ENTER
The Movies must be registered and sent using the File Transfer service free WeTransfer.com within 00:00 hours on 31 JULY 2018 as the deadline.
Important - As receipt of the submissions of the MOVIE you sent save the e-mail with subject WeTransfer.com "Thanks for using WeTransfer. File sent to rietiesabinafilmfestival@gmail.com", so please keep it n mind.

4. PRIZES AND JURY
The Artistic Committee of FOTONICA will select, among all the received ones, the Movies considered the best to have access to the next stage.
In this phase, a specially constituted Technical Jury will choose among those preselected by the Artistic Committee, at its own judgement, whether the Winners of the four Sections of the competition (see below) that those worthy of Special Mention, such as the best performer and as the most original story (yet to be determined).
The choices of the Artistic Committee, such as those of the Technical Jury, are not changeable.

The composition of the Technical Jury will be announced, avoiding conflicts of interest or unfair advantage conditions, only after the expiry of the deadline, 31 July 2018.
The winning Movies and those deserving of special mention will be made known only on the day of the screening final.
Participants, whose works have been selected for the final day of the screening, will be informed by e-mail or telephone and must fill out detailed work (with Synopsis, Cast / technical, Production Notes, etc.), enclosing various additional materials (such as poster, promotional photos, trailers, etc.) required at the time.

There will be cash prizes, TBD (please follow the updates on this page), which will be paid exclusively to the Copyright holder of the Movie (whether it be the Director, the Producer or an accredited member of the artistic Cast / Crew), provided that the subject chosen will be present in the Final Show.

Important - Fotonica owns the right to decide whether or not to Show one or more of the Movies, as part of the Festival, of any Movie that has been submitted at the “ 1st RIETI E SABINA Film Festival”.

5. NO SECTIONS OF THE COMPETITION - OPEN COMPETITION
The RSFF Competition has no Sections, so it's an Open Festival, as the biggest and most important Festival of the World.
Each one of the submitted Movies will be listed on the Official Web Page of the Festival and on the Official FB Along with Freeway Film.

RSFF will host a special Section of Documentary from "Earthquake in Sabina and Rieti"

Jury

The RSFF Jury will be made of 7 among: Directors, Producers, Critics, Journalists, Actors.


The RSFF is hosted by FOTONICA Non Profit.

FOTONICA Non Profit Org is made by:

Nico Toffoli
Actor, Writer, Producer. Degree in Economics and Business at "La Sapienza" in Rome and Director of International Businesses, EE.II. Member of ISA "International Screewriter Association". His artistic training passes and inevitably turns into 2007 through the artistic and human encounter with Michael Margotta his master and mentor and the Actor Center in Rome. As an actor he starred in major international productions and with great directors such as Rob Mashall and Ron Howard, in Italy he worked with Pupi Avati and Andrea Constantini. Author and Writer of the book "Legion Corpvs". In Independent Cinema, he starts as a producer with "The hidden side of things" taken from his original screenplay.
Organizer in the 2015 edition of the "Pietrasanta Cinema Festival". Passionate about Anthroposophy and Theosophy.

Diego Placidi
Regista, Produttore e Attore
Dopo la formazione artistica presso la “Accademia delle Belle Arti” di Roma, inizia il suo percorso artistico come musicista, (chitarra classica ed elettrica) con maestri del nome di Cicero Rosario e Richard Benson. Studia Regia e Recitazione presso la scuola di Alessandra De Pascalis con i diversi metodi di interpretazione. Nel 2011 diviene Regista Teatrale ( vincitore Premio “Miglior Regia” 2011 ne “Il palco e i suoi linguaggi”). Regista di Cortometraggi e della Web Series “Nerdective” ( vincitrice al “Roma Web Award” 2014 di diversi premi e finalista ai Festival di New York, Brooklyn, Miami e Rio nel 2014 e 2015).

Director, Producer and Actor
After his artistic training at the "Academy of Fine Arts" in Rome, he began his artistic career as a musician (classical and electric guitar) with Cicero Rosario and Richard Benson. He studies Direction and Acting at the school of Alessandra De Pascalis with different methods of interpretation. In 2011 he became Theater Director (winner of the "Best Director" 2011 in "The stage and its languages"). Director of Short Films and the Web Series "Nerdective" (winner of the 2014 "Rome Web Award" and finalist at the New York, Brooklyn, Miami and Rio Festivals among 2014 and 2015).
