SOFIA EL KHYARI's Biography

Born in CasabIanca, I lived for several years in France before heading to London. After a Master in Cultural Management in France, and a Foundation year in Les Ateliers Beaux Arts in Paris, I graduated in MA Animation from the Royal College of Art, London. I do mixed-media atmospheric films. Playing between the codes of naive art and hyperrealism, I always depict a recurring female figure, powerful and troubling, but infinitely soft..
