Shema Deve's Biography

Shema Deve is a Filmmaker based in Rwanda as Writer,Director and Producer. After 2012 concluding my high school I proceeded filmmaking. I attended several writing workshops Rwanda Christian Film festival workshop in 2013 and 2014. And after then I was selected to attend Maisha Film Lab workshop 2015 and 2016. I made my first short film Running after attending writing workshop of Maisha Film lab in 2015. This year 2017 I participated in Haile Gerima Directing workshop in Luxor- Egypt. .

2016 Official selection for my first short film RUNNING : Focus On Ability Short Film Festival in Australia, Mashariki African Film Festival and Rwanda Film Festival.
And also was screened in Zimbabwe in Focus on ability short film festival.
