I AM International Film Festival for Children and Youth, DIVERCINE

THE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH takes place every year with the purpose of presenting an overview of new film productions for children and young people, facilitating access to the best and most diverse material and lots of fun. It is also constitutes an attempt to encourage film distribution companies to purchase new films and television programs for children. . .

Awards

    Productions presented must have the following characteristics. Projectable in digital video, duration between 1 to 110 minutes; not shown before in Uruguay and produced after January 2017. Only search films in Spanish or without dialogues or Spanish subtitles for children over 10 years old. Our public have between 3 and 14 years old.

    In this contest exhibition, the following prizes will be awarded:

    GURI PRIZE to best film production of the Festival.
    FESTIVAL PRIZES to best film productions, short or full-length films in fiction, animation and documentary film categories.
    UNICEF PRIZE to the best film production promoting the rights of the childhood.
    SIGNIS PRIZE to the film production enhancing human values.
    OEI PRIZE to the best Iberoamerican production.
    ICAU PRIZE to the best Uruguayan production.

    Prizes will be awarded by a five member Jury, appointed by the organizers, constituted by film experts, artists and educators. SIGNIS shall decide the awarding of the respective prizes.

    There will also be a Jury constituted by Plan Deni students (children from 8 to 15 years old), who shall award the best full-length film and best short film.

    The CHILDREN´S JURYAWARD will be given according to the votes of the children attending to the regular screenings of the Festival.
