Ivica Valentić was born in 1969 in Osijek, Croatia. In 1991 he graduated from Osijek Faculty of Civil Engineering Osijek, and subsequently from Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences Zagreb. After living in Zagreb and Vienna for about ten years, in 2003 he returned to Osijek, and established the antique bookstore Ezop (Aesop) the same year. He has managed to keep the bookstore open for business, as a part of both domestic and foreign market, ever since. In 2012 the bookstore was moved to a larger, more attractive location. In 2018 Valentić started using computer animation, and in 2019 he finished producing his first movie – The Introduction of Librophileas. .
