I AM Ayam Beirut Al Cinema'iya

Since 2001, “Ayam Beirut Al Cinema’iya” promotes Independent Lebanese and Arab films, and encourages young talents.

This unique Arab film festival brings together over 200 professionals and students, from Lebanon and the region, in addition to international professionals and stars.

The festival is an awaited event for the industry, and loyal public. In additions to films, the festival hosts many workshops, roundtables and networking sessions.. .

    PS: These were the regulations for this year's edition - we do not give out any awards.
    The official selection of the 9th edition is open to films made by Arab filmmakers, produced after April 2015.
    A special section will be dedicated to
    non-Arab films by non-Arab filmmakers, with an outlook on the Arab world, produced after April 2015.
    The categories are:
    feature and short fictions, documentaries and experimental works.
    Screening copies must be provided
    in DCP or HD Pro res.
    All copies should have English subtitles.
    Priority is reserved to films that have not yet been screened in Lebanon.
    The deadline to submit your DVDs and your applications is the 3rd December 2016. .

An Italian Filmaker, Cecilia Zambello won the 2014 Festival edition by the film “Clorofilla tace”.
A Mexican filmaker, Roberto Valdes, with his film “Algien”, won the 2015 edition.
The 3rd Edition of the Festival (2016) has been won by an Italian filmaker, Enrico Le Pera, who submitted an American film, “Lulù and the right words”.
Finally the 4th edition of our Festival has been won by a Chinese filmmaker from Macau. His awarded film was “Crash”. .
